Employee Spotlight: Kira Csakany, Creative Supervisor

Employee Spotlight: Kira Csakany, Creative Supervisor – The Martin Group

At The Martin Group, great ideas and results really are a group effort. They come from remarkably talented individuals that we form into equally remarkable teams.

Meet Kira Csakany, a creative supervisor on our Creative Team.

Where were you working before The Martin Group and in what role?

Before coming on board at The Martin Group, I worked as an art director at a boutique branding agency, Pandiscio Green in the Meatpacking District of NYC. The studio specialized in luxury real estate and hospitality and I was lucky to work on exciting projects like 111 W 57th Street, Chefs Club Counter, and The Grill and The Pool (formerly known as the iconic Four Seasons Restaurant in the Seagram building).

When did you join our team at The Martin Group?

I started working at TMG on February 5, 2018.

What do you love about working here?

The people! Everyone here is very nice! I also enjoy working on a broader range of clients.

What are some of your hobbies on weekends and after work?

I usually spend my weekends with my husband, daughters and our dog. We go for hikes, to the zoo, work in the garden (when weather permits). I also love to read and take Polaroid images.

If you had three things you could pack on a trip for a few days, what would those three things be?

(Let’s assume the basics like clothes are covered): My phone, the book I’m reading in the hopes of finally getting a chance to finish it and sunglasses.

What’s your favorite restaurant in Buffalo and favorite dish on the menu?

I don’t get the chance to go out very often, so my Buffalo restaurant experience is limited. I did recently eat at Mothers and very much enjoyed the steamed mussels in a red curry broth. Also, Elm Street Bakery in East Aurora always has great pizza.

What is the top travel destination on your bucket list?

There is indeed a list, and it is LONG. Here are four random picks from that list: Grand Teton National Park, Japan, Scotland, the Olympic Peninsula.

More about Kira.

Born and raised in Heidelberg, Germany, Kira brings an international perspective to The Martin Group’s creative team. After studying at Hochschule für Bildende Künste Braunschweig (University of Arts, Braunschweig) and Emily Carr University of Art and Design in Vancouver, Canada, she spent a number of years working in New York City for the design studios Pandiscio Green and Opto Design. Her client list included JDS Development Group, Alexandria Real Estate Equities, Cornell Engineering, New York Public Radio, Rizzoli Books, Starr Restaurants, Amnesty International, Ford Foundation and Audi. Now living in East Aurora with her husband and twin girls, Kira’s worldly design sense enhances marquee clients like Evans Bank and Hearst Publications. In her free time, she enjoys reading, photography and, of course, traveling.
