Full-Time Videographer

The Martin Group/ Martin Davison Public Relations

The videographer is responsible for shooting, editing and producing video content consisting of interviews and short features for digital and social media use and other various audio and visual communication projects that support and promote The Martin Group and Martin Davison Public Relations and their clients. The ideal client will be creative, collaborative and have a journalistic eye for news and content that will play well on digital channels.

Requirements and Experience:

• An ambitious jack-of-all-trades, exhibiting strong organization, communication and time management skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in broadcast journalism, cinematography, video production or similar field

• One year minimum experience from an internship or regular job/freelance work

• Experience shooting with high definition digital and digital single-lens reflex cameras and experience with audio recording techniques and lighting for television production both on-location and in-studio

• Familiarity with shooting on a smartphone and creating video content for YouTube, Facebook,   Instagram, Vine and Snapchat preferred

• Animation and/or graphic design skills preferred but not required

• Strong narrative skills for script-writing, talking points and story-boarding

• Proficiency in video editing software—Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, AVID, After Effects—and Color and Pro Tools preferred but not required

• Experience with MS Office applications—Access, Excel, Word and Outlook

• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills is essential

Job Duties:

• Photograph images for online publication and social media usage for TMG/MDPR and their clients

• Make visual and technical decisions regarding elements such as composition, lighting and audio recording to ensure the highest quality end-product

• Manage multiple projects in various stages of production concurrently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

• Build internal archive libraries including B-roll and outtakes

• Able to lift 25 lbs., and transport video and audio production equipment, tripod etc., to effectively perform duties

• It is preferred to have your own equipment, but not required
