Digital Media Manager

Full-Time Position (Remote, Buffalo, Rochester, Albany or New York office)

The Martin Group – a premier integrated communications firm is looking to hire a Digital Media Manager.

Summary

With assistance from more senior members of the media team, you will be responsible for executing effective digital media campaigns while working with the Digital Media Buyer to provide impactful and effective digital media campaigns for the client.

Primary Responsibilities

  • With assistance from more senior members, manages the digital media strategies that align with client objectives. Supports the execution of the Media Team’s strategy. Uses critical thinking and problem-solving skills to analyze problems and plan for solutions.
  • Handles all functions related to the production and distribution of schedules and media plan documents to assigned clients. Plans digital media campaigns.
  • Tracks and manages budgets within digital platforms. Handles budget changes/updates and ensures platform spending aligns with allocated budget. Maintains contact with platform-specific digital media strategists, reps, and clients to cultivate good relations. Works with Digital Media Buyer on billing discrepancies to come to a resolution.
  • Researches media trends, forecasts, and search volume within digital platforms and provides media plans to the Digital Media Director for approval.
  • Assists with audience and platform/vendor research as needed by senior team members for new business.
  • Communicates effectively internally and externally (clients and vendors). Builds strong, trusting relationships with clients by being their advocate, problem-solver and providing proactive thinking. Works across departments to resolve issues proactively and identify solutions to problems. Understands the best methods of communication based on the situation.
  • Encourages feedback, positively responding to coaching and proactively striving for constant improvement. Effectively relays information regarding assigned responsibilities to motivate collaboration around objectives.
  • Has a strong understanding of the digital media market. Evaluates objectives, audiences and search trends by maintaining contact and meeting with digital media reps and platform strategists. Identifies opportunities for growth in the media tech space and assists in the execution of that growth. Makes an effort to learn industry drivers and how the agency fits into the market.

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Familiarity with digital media buying, planning and research
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of media analytics software

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing, communications/media or equivalent work experience required
  • Minimum of 3 years experience working as a digital media buyer or within related role

We offer a competitive base compensation and benefits package including medical, dental and 401K.

Salary Range: $60,000-75,000
